Shay Viehman

PhD Student
Shay is a PhD student in the Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.  Her broad research interests include bio-physical coupling, spatio-temporal dynamics, and marine spatial planning.  Her dissertation research addresses effects of disturbance on marine benthic communities, population processes regulating coral species, spatial scales of interactions between fish and coral reef habitat, and applications to marine protected areas.
